Polyglyde®
Hull Coatings

A hard-coating for the parts of the hull that stay underwater. It is built to last well past 25 years in constant seawater, around the clock, without needing touch-ups in between dry dockings.

25+ Years Proven in Continuous Seawater Service.

The Polyglyde® Hard-Coating System protects the submerged areas of a hull, the parts that take the most punishment. It is built to last well beyond 25 years while the ship works around the clock, day in and day out, with no maintenance needed between dockings.

We first applied it in 2008 on Disney Magic and Disney Dream, the first ships to carry a Polyglyde® hull. It performed well enough that both vessels later had it taken across their full hulls and rudders. The coating keeps the surface slick, so the hull drags less, picks up less marine growth and is far easier to clean.
